Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting with me. I hope to make a difference in your life. I want to empower you in your journey to wholeness and health by offering you guidance, support, information and hope. My mission is to help people take charge of their emotional lives, and to bring as much health and healing into the world as I possibly can.
I’m a medical doctor, speaker, professor, author, radio host, columnist, and mother of four children ages 11 through 21. But most important of all, I’m a passionate advocate for you and your wellness. You see, I’ve been concerned for years that our healthcare system was broken, that you and I—as patients—were falling between the cracks, because no one was teaching us all of what we could do to heal ourselves. Not only that, our inner wisdom and capacity to self-heal were often ignored.
So, how do I see the problem we face? Everywhere we go, we get pieces of a puzzle, but no one shows us how to put them all together. We live in overwhelming times. The world is shrinking as the demands on us continue to increase. As a result, we are developing many stress-related illnesses. We know the importance of mind-body medicine. And recognize that other things matter too. But your doctor gives you pills, your therapist coaches you, self-help books offer you quick fixes, spiritual practices and pursuits scream for attention, and vitamins, herbs, dietary manipulations and supplements cry out for inclusion. Maybe music or massage or guided imagery are for you. Or maybe a walk in the park and a medication are what you need. But how are you to know what’s right? And who is to be your guide? I’m sure you are confused because most of us are. We are all so stressed and overwhelmed.
But healing and self-care isn't rocket science. Given the right information, guidance, and tools, you can find your unique path to wholeness and well-being. Everyone can. I know that this is true. I've seen my patients do it over and over again. After more than 30,000 hours of one-on-one work with individuals from all walks of life, I know the power of the human spirit to triumph, transcend and be transformed. Your spirit is amazing! There’s a path for you, and I can help you find your way.
Help me make a difference, and let me help you change your life. I really look forward to partnering with you. Your best is yet to come.
With gratitude, regards and many blessings,
Eve A. Wood, MD
